Blended Learning: Strategies for Engagement

Blended learning is an educational concept that uses different instructional approaches to enable students to learn more effectively than one method alone.

It combines conventional classroom instruction with digital learning.

In a blended approach, Traditional teaching is used to introduce or reinforce concepts, provide hands-on skill practice, and provide students with opportunity for collaborative work, while digital learning is used to supplement traditional instruction.

Strategies you can use in your classroom:

  1. Use a variety of instructional materials.
  2. Integrate Reinforcement Technology
  3. Experiment with New Teaching Methods
  4. Maintain your traditional teaching methods.
  5. Vary Your Assessments
  6. Blend Group Work Styles
  7. Consider Digital Curriculum.

To achieve training success using any or all of the blended learning strategies outlined above, you must design courses that captivate students while also ensuring they retain what they’ve learned over time.
